Late 80's Duncan/Ibanez Pickups - Who knows what?

Re: Late 80's Duncan/Ibanez Pickups - Who knows what?

You posted a picture with visible Seymours, guess that was just a random internet pic

Oh Adieu, I see now that you were commenting on that pic I posted. Gotcha! Yes, it was a random pic from internet to show the Stag vs. the Open beak.

ha! No chance Greg. I am actually in the middle of redoing all of the stock Pots. It had a strange configuration of 1Volume, 1Tone and some sort of mixer pot. I tore that all out and I'm currently re-purposing the pots to a 1Vol, 2Tone 3Way (Neck - Neck/Bridge - Bridge) configuration that I'm most used to. I'll post it when I'm done!

But Greg, what do you know about the pickup? What should I expect from them in the configuration I just described?

The original configuration is 2 volume, 1 tone. This setup yields an extremely versatile guitar. So many blending options that I can get just about every sound I want to play with. You might want to consider keeping it that way. I can cop Strat and Tele tones along with 335 and LP tones just by leaving the toggle in the middle position.

No doubt! I have an Ibanez with the 2 Volume 1 Tone that uses three push pull pots to provide parallel/series (Volume 1), phase (volume 2) and single coil (Tone 1). The excellent diagram is right up on SD's diagrams page but here's the link https://docs.google.com/gview?embedded=true&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.seymourduncan.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2016%2F05%2F2H_3B_2VppSPppPH_1TppSPL.pdf

Others that try out my modified Ibanez are just blown away! Also had upgraded the pickups at the time to SD to go with the re-wiring work.
