Leaving power on to pedals won't hurt anything, will it?

I keep forgetting to turn off the power strip when I am done playing. I have a Guv'nor clone and a tuner powered by a Onespot. Will it hurt anything to have the pedals plugged in for a couple days at a time? I assume they pull no power when not turned on and it's fine?

I wouldn’t think so. But I always turn them off and unplug the power source just in case of a lightning strike or power surge.

The power strip has a surge protection circuit so hopefully I am covered!

Pedals from the 60s still seem to work fine and they're designed to have voltage pumped through them. I wouldn't make a habit out of it because i try to be stingey on my electric bill but i don't worry about the machines.

Can't speak for the 1spot (I have the 2000ma Power-All, but not for long enough to speak there either), but I will say that I've seen plenty of standard wallwart adapters die from years of being always plugged-in. They are warm to the touch, even without a pedal turned on so it does make sense that they would have a more limited lifespan than the pedals themselves.

It's probably harder on the pedals to sit in the box never used for decades than it is to be plugged-in but disengaged. (just guessing)

The pedals would not care one bit.....and after a great many years, the powersupply would probally burn out.
Now never having any power on the other hand...that dries out stuff!

I have all my gear plugged into a power conditioner/voltage regulator/surge suppressor. It has a switch that I shut off when I'm done and usually I remember to flip it but sometimes I forget. It's probably better in the long run to not leave power on all the time so turn the power strip off when you remember to but don't fret about it if you forget.

Hell, I accidentally left my tube amp on (in standby) for 2 days and that didn’t hurt anything.

No, won't hurt them, how long has your alarm clock, TV, DVD (Blu-Ray, whatever) player, etc... been plugged in? And they are probably drawing more power than those pedals.

FWIW, the Onespot is a switching power supply, not an old transformer/rectifier style power supply, so it probably isn't warm either, and will probably outlive you even if you leave it plugged in. If it had a constant draw that was constantly pushing it to its limits, yeah it would warm up and it's lifespan might be shortened a little, but those pedals don't even tickle it.
