Hi all, I'm new here,
I have a set of right hand SD APS-1s fin my Stratocaster. After reading the spec list about these pups, I noticed they advertised the left hand version as to being well suited for Hendrix type stuff. Could a person just take a righty set and turn them around? This would be the economical way to go for me. Any input greatly appreciated, thanks!
PS,
I really like these pickups a lot..... A very balanced and nice tone, great vintage vibe! I'm very happy with these pickups, just experimenting and trying for a more focused tone I guess. Would probably get a another lefty set later, and then swap the righties to my other Strat, a '99 AmStd, if this works out.
Also,
Can you run a bassplate with these pickups? I noticed that the magnet polarity pulls the plate and have heard that some pickups are the opposite type of polarity, is it cool to run a plate on the APS?
Thnx again for any help.....
