Les Paul. Full Shred Neck Magnet Swap.

I'm going to be swapping the magnet in the Full Shred neck of my LP. I like it but want to see what happens.

I'm thinking A4 or A3.

I'd like the Pros and Cons of each. I'll also be putting a nickel cover on it.

I think the A4 would work the best, but I have no experience with the A3, so it could also work just fine.

A4's flatten out the eq which I think brings out more of the qualities of the pickup wind and the natural tone of the instrument.

There is a difference between polished and roughcast. Polished tend to be brighter.

There are only Pros to A4's. It's the magnet that made the grail tones in 59 Les Pauls.

You know Ace, some of us like A4's because of how they sound regardless of any assertions made regarding their use by any particular manufacturer in the past.
