I'll own an LP-style axe one day, just haven't got around to it yet. Your new thread request has been approved.

Killer LPs guys, if you're not careful you'll cause a GAS spill :laugh2:.

Re: Les Paul guitars appreciation thread

Just two right now, unless you want to count my Hardtail as a double cutaway LP style....but it's really not. I would still like to have 2 more Lesters, a 56'RI with P-90's and a 58' or 59' RI....but it will have to be something special to make me part with $3k plus. Here's my babies right now.

Re: Les Paul guitars appreciation thread

Nice Custom H8red. I'm usually not a fan at all of black chrome hardware, but it really looks good on that guitar.

Re: Les Paul guitars appreciation thread

Thanks, Jolly. I was concerned I was ruining it when I did it last year but I really love it. It turned out way better than I thought it would. I even sold the orignal tan case and bought a black one with the gray lining, as you can see.

Re: Les Paul guitars appreciation thread

h8red,
that black custom looks cool with EMGs and black sperzels!! :headbang:

i like most types of guitars but LPs rule !!!

Re: Les Paul guitars appreciation thread

98 The Paul II... lightest piece of mahogany ever. I love it. Last guitar I'll ever buy... wouldn't trade it for a Standard:D

(picture editted to conceal my secret identity and reflect recent plastic surgery)

the finish isn't that bad I swear... for some reason it looks really bad in this pic in reality its shiny and no scratches

Re: Les Paul guitars appreciation thread

Just this 57RI at the moment, but if you check the past gear section in my sig link, you'll get GAS for sure from all the cool Les Pauls I've owned in the past, including Xssive's copper custom and Jeff H's lightburst posted above :)

Re: Les Paul guitars appreciation thread

LP shaped guitars, thats just not right......

I voted 3 before I saw the shape thing. I have a 1995 wine Std, a 1998 honeyburst Std, a 2001 59 RI and a Conklin one of "LP shaped" guitar so I guess 4 is the answer.

Re: Les Paul guitars appreciation thread

My '91 LP Classic (one of the early Classics with "Model" on the headstock, no green inlays, ABR-1 etc.). Has some nice subtle birds-eye on the top. Now has covered Antiquities instead of the various double blacks that have been in there:

My '96 LP Standard:

Another shot of the '96 Standard, when the covers were off the double cream Seths. Think I need to take those covers off again? :

okay.... did u just had cosmetic surgery or somethin? nice teeth..

yup.sometimes when the axe is shinny the lighting make it look like scratches. lighter LPs are hard to come by. :headbang:
