When I first bought it, I took it of. Didin't care for it. Now later I think it looks alot better with the guard on.

Depends a lot on the finish, but for MOST LPs, I prfer to have the pickguard.

Yep, most LPs for me just look better with a pickguard. I guess if you had some uber nice flame or quilt top, it would be silly to cover it up, but if you like solid color guitars like me or standard bursts, pickguards are where it's at

Been playing without but just painted my pickguard with black hammered finish paint from home depot and it looks killer so I will put it back on for a while. I also painted the pickup rings/toggle plate to match. Looks baddass.

With. I don't care how pretty the top is or whatever, it's the way it was designed- with that rocket fin pickguard.

I've yet to own one, but when I do I think I'll more than likely take the pick guard off.
