Hi everyone. I recently acquired a 1992 Gibson Les Paul Classic Plus and I want to replace the PUPs. The previous owner replaced the stock PUPs with Burstbuckers and they are too bright for me. I play pop and classic rock and looking for smooth, warm PUPs that don't produce harsh, brittle high ends.
As a point of reference, I have other LP's with the following PUP combo's (neck/bridge): jazz/JB, 59/Custom V, Gibson 57 Classics. The closest I've come to the sound I'm looking for is the 59/Custom V. But I need a neck PUP that's a little more articulate than the 59 and a bridge PUP warmer than the Custom V. Recommendations are greatly appreciated. Here's a pic of the guitar:
