Les Paul with Duncans on Clearance at MF

Re: Les Paul with Duncans on Clearance at MF

I like the painted f-holes, and color. The price sucks big green donkey dongs, in hell.

Painted F holes, Dyna-Sonic pickups and copper flake finish? I perceive this as Gibson trying to copy a Gretsch. I wonder if Fender will attempt to sue Gibson's ass as fast as Gibson would sue their's for (alleged) copyright infringement.

Re: Les Paul with Duncans on Clearance at MF

I want to work at Gibson for just one day. Just so I can take whatever gets them high enough to think that things like that are a good idea...

One of the fuggliest Paulas I've ever seen. Not *my* thing, but to each their own.

Re: Les Paul with Duncans on Clearance at MF

i dont see anyone complain about the Chet Atkins Country Gentelman

Actually, that's a Tennessean (or Tennesse Rose they call them now) and not a Country Gent,..but your point is well taken. Nobody laughed at this guy for playing a couple of different guitars with fake F holes.

However, that Musicians Friend guitar looks like it had a head-on collision with a Gretsch at about 90 mph. Sometimes the experimental morphing works, sometimes it doesn't. It's certainly no Telesonic.

I was gonna say that but you beat me to it. I will say that simulated F Holes on a hollow guitar makes more sense than on a solid Les Paul. Chet had Gretsch do the simulated F Holes in an effort to help combat feedback back in the day.
