Not at all strange, as many current Gibsons have a string spacing above 2" at the bridge.
The name "Trembucker" or Larry´s "F-spaced" is from an era when only Fender and Floyd made bridges that lined up better. That era ended about 10-15 years ago.
Today "Widebucker"would be a more accurate term, as there are numerous fixed bridges these days with similar spacings.
When deciding between trembucker and standard, the Seymour Duncan FAQ says to measure the spacing of the bridge a @the neck pickup,
not to check: brand, model, bridge style, color, string guage or coolness factor of the instrument.
