Get a Triode/Pentode switch installed by a tech....it's a simple process and wouldn't be expensive. (It only involves a heavy-duty switch and a few pieces of wire and a new hole drilled in the chasis near the power tubes). Triode operation will give you lower output, and then it can be switched back to pentode for those times you want the power you have now.

Buy an Epi Valve Junior to mod, or leave stock, and save the Bandmaster for the stage.

Why don't you get a 2x12" to run it through? And that way you'll have it for smaller gigs as well.

I like the sound of 15ers much better....but I haven't tried every 12 incher out there.....
