What's with storing all those guitars in the background outdoors?

Re: Lets see all the heavily modded guitars

Here's my customized Epiphone Goth Explorer. All the original black hardware has been removed and replaced with chrome. The pickguard was replaced with a real metal diamond plate one. The pickups were swapped out for a set of EMGs (81 & 60), which means the pots were also replaced with 25k pots. I also upgraded the 3 way switch while I was at it and it has a chrome knob to match the pickguard.

Last is my 67 ES-335...while she looks like a standard ES-335 she's far from it. Started life as a 12 string, "converted" to a 6 string, several headstock breaks and then the neck twisted...I sent her to Brian Monty and he hand crafted an entire new neck from old mahogany, re attached the original fingerboard and then painted the neck to match...not modded in the sence or hot rodded but modded in the since of getting back to what it shoudl be in a stock form...I did add the Bigsby because I hate trap tail 335's and i liek Bigsbys...I think that she qualifies as heavily modded!

Here is a quick computer (i.e. bad) pic of my '68 330. It was originally the same color as your 335. The color loss is uniform across the top, although the lighting makes it seem otherwise. There is a little red left under the pickguard, and the faintest hint of it on the back, but for all intents and purposes, all of the red is gone, and it's now a bronze beauty. Like my '68 SG, it's 100% original.

P.S. I said it's all original, and that's true. however, the pickguard has been glued back together and reinforced from the back side.

NICE!

I have pics somewhere of Ruby with her guard off...you can see the colour fade but it's still a pretty strong colour.

I'd love to try your 330 out...forum brother Luke Duke has a NICE early/mid 60's ES-335 that SMOKES!

I love that guitar...heck, I'd like to have a 330 and EB-2 both in matching Sparkling Burgundy!

Re: Lets see all the heavily modded guitars

It's the most killer sounding axe I own. Pure aggression to the tone, but without being sterile or cold. Very tiny neck too, so it's fast as ****.

I know you don't like the skinny period for Gibson necks, though, so you probably wouldn't like it much. But it is a looker, regardless.

I have wide, but short hands, so I can really move on the 1-7/16 necks. I'm normally not a fast player, but it's much easier for me on this and the '68 SG Std. They also both have the low, wide frets, which I love. Hard to bend on, but very fast.

Yeah...I played ruby with her original neck for a good while before having it redone and I got to where I could get around on it.

Those "skinny" neck Gibsons are only skinny from the nut to about the 5th fret then they are fairly normal but I decided since I was getting a whole new neck I should just get it the way I want it so I went back with the 1 11/16 nut width and the "much better IMHO" 17 degree headstock pitch.
