This was taken a couple days after I got the guitar in 2012; the plastic has since been removed from the guard. One of these days I'll install the new pots, caps, & '59s I have sitting in my parts box...

Re: Lets see some #1's!

You can't have three number 1's, it's just not possible.

Working player #1 is what works for a particular gig.
If I had to pick just 1 to play forever it would be the PRS simply because it's the most usable for the most different styles of music and quiet but it ain't the most fun to play or the best sounding.
The most fun to play and best sounding pure rock guitar I have ever owned is the MG 102 but it is sensitive to noise and somewhat limited in tones or it would be the #1 by a mile.
The one guitar I will take when playing churches where the wiring may be suspect and I will have Buzzing or pick up radio ( yes there are 2 in particular where this is a problem no joke!!) + need to cover a lot of tones is the Peavey. It also plays like a dream and sounds killer and if the Peavey was not a hard tail it may be the #1 but I use a bar a LOT so---.
I have a number of other guitars but these 3 are the workhorses and which is #1 for that night depends on which one is right for the job I'm playing and the mood I'm in that particular night. All 3 I have owned for a while now so there is no honeymoon infatuation here and all 3 get about the same amount of real world playing time so how do you pick just one?
Guess I'm just a guitar polygamist LOL!

You pick the one you like the most. If you like them all equally, just pick one. Nobody will know the difference or even likely care.

This Iceman has been my No. 1 for years. I have spent many hours gigging and in the studio with this baby.

Ehhhhhh I feel like I've posted too many pics of my #1 already. Heres my other one that I consider a tie for that place.

G&L Alder JB with classic 3 toned sunburst, tort guard and rosewood board.
The bass came with a pickup cover and I thought... it looks way too cool to not put it on. then I got the finger bar to totally complete the vintage look. Strung up with flats that are probably a year old now.
My normal bass is a G&L SB-2 (roided PJ) with steel rounds on it so this thing is a sweet contrast to that.

Re: Lets see some #1's!

Over the past 7 years its been my only one for 6 of them. Standard Faded with Duncan Distortions.

Re: Lets see some #1's!

My absolute #1 player is this LP although my desert island guitar is the Modern Eagle
