Lets see some #1's!

Re: Lets see some #1's!

I think this one is my #1.

Suhr Classic from 2004/5.

It originally had a humbucker in the bridge - couldn't make that work for me and had the factory route for a Single coil as well as install the current bridge. Also has a plain sawn neck, which I feel is a little 'looser' sounding than quarter sawn. 16" radius on an C profile, stainless frets and Ilitch style SSC (under pickguard). V60LP pickups from my stash (sent to the factory for install). An 'in your face' S-Style with NO noise.

Duncan '78s w/push-pull series/parallel on each, Graph Tech piezo Floyd (alone or blended w/the 78s) ... I think I can get rid of most of the others now. :)

Nice! Suhr does some tasty Strats; love the various demos of Pete Thorn where he plays his.

That Bolero is sweet!! I had a limited run Dean Soltero awhile back and I really really regret selling it!

Re: Lets see some #1's!

These are my two number 1's. One humbucker and one "single coil", both are guitars I put together.

Of my sixteen, or so, these get the most attention, but I try to make sure they all get played fairly regularly.

DarkMatter, I like the blue on the back as well. What is the body made of, Ash back with Rose Wood face?

What is it? Mahogany? Koa? Warmoth body? Or does Carvin make something like it?

It's a mahogany body with a Koa top from Warmoth. It's mated to a 24.75 mahogany neck with an ebony fretboard. The pickups are DiMarzio PAF Pro, Air Norton and Super Distortion. I tend to gravitate to DM humbuckers for some reason.

The Tele is also 24.75 scale with maple and Pao Ferro on the neck. It has The Seymour Duncan Broadcaster and Mini Humbucker. I haven't found single coils or minis that I would be inclined to spend the money on other than Duncan's.

Re: Lets see some #1's!

The workhorse.

'03 Gibson MMLP.

We've held our own, and at one point it was the only one I had having sold my SG and LP during dire financial times. It's loved.

May not be the prettiest, or my dream guitar, but I always pick it up first. It's my Go-To. It's had a headstock repair (that HURT), broken P90 cover (decided to leave it off), worn out nut (now TUSQ), worn out saddles (now TUSQ) and a collapsed Nashville (replaced). This guitar just comes back sounding better and better. She started my infatuation/obsession with melody makers.

Does what I need it to.

It's simple. I like simple. I'm okay with it.
