Re: Let's see your Duncans!

My main "Seymourized" guitars.

A 1980s second generation Blazer with full brass trem, has StraBro90s (a forum special pickup) and the switch allows individual splits, in-series and out-of-phase of the bridge pickup. There is nothing like the roar of the bridge pickup with half a neck pickup subtracted via out-of-phase and then fattened up by putting it in series.

A 1990(?) Burly Les Paul Custom with the other forum squeeze pickup, the Phat Staple.

Both of those are so cool. I've got one Strabro in the neck of my strat - I'd love to try a full set!

Re: Let's see your Duncans!

Just put my Seths in my Les Paul Studio, using 50's wiring. There's that other thread going that's dissing on Les Pauls, but no matter what guitar, if you do the work to wire it how you want, and you get it done, it's working, and you hear those sweet tones coming out that sound like the recording, that's your #1 right there.

Re: Let's see your Duncans!

The tape on the neck pup what is that for?

I guess it's so the strings don't catch underneath the pickup (coil) when doing wild whammy work.

Old Dimebag trick. :)

Yeah, that's what the one at the bass side was for; the one on the treble was for preventing the treble strings from damaging the wire when I pick. I pick damn hard.

Re: Let's see your Duncans!

I just realized all my Duncan loaded guitars have the same Duncan in the bridge....Custom 5.

Custom 5 and Jazz...

Custom 5 and a brand that shall not be named in a Duncan thread haha...

I would give anything to have a go at that Les Paul through that JMP. WOW.

I found the tone of SH-1 prettier than that of SH-2 in the neck position, more subtle and flexible.

Now I own a Yamaha Pacifica 611H with Custom 5 (b) and SP90 (n), no pics yet - I will update on that soon.

Re: Let's see your Duncans!

This is one of the first Indie IPR Anniversary model 24 fret guitars made. It has a ebony fretboard with the tree of life inlay in abalone. This guitar is very well made. It has solid mahogany body and neck withe a flame maple top. This is one of the easiest guitars I have ever played. I had Seymour Duncan Joe Bonamassa pickups installed in it. It is a great guitar. I bought this guitar on Ebay for $200.00. They sell in England for $1800. What a great find. I wish I had a few more. 2011-06-05 21.33.31.jpg
