Greetings folks! New guy here. My name is Matt Ward and I run Surge Instruments in Phx, AZ. Here is my latest build that features a sweet set of Black Winters! It's called the SD6.6 and has a 2 piece alder body with red oak stain and a tung oil finish. Maple neck, rosewood fretboard etc, ziracote headcap. Anyway, here ya go!

^^ I usually hate weird offset designs, but I actually quite like that! I think what makes it is the way the pick guard reflects a bit of the top horn shape over by the jack. Good stuff man.

Here's a nice Nazgul/Sentient set that I dropped in my Schecter Avenger-7. I am so completely thrilled with the Nazgul I can't even say. If you play metal... get the Nazzys!!! You owe it to your tone!

Thanks alot! I am trying to go with classic yet modern/edgy with my designs. So may guys out there are just remaking Pauls and Teles I figured I would attempt to lay some new roads. But anyway, thanks for the love!!!

Re: Let's see your Duncans!

Built by my g/f Dawn, who is a friend of Seymour's.
I had another pickup in it, the same as another Esquire Dawn had made for me.
It didn't sound right. She suggested an Antiquity. Bingo!
(Dawn only sprays in Nitro that she mixes herself)

My 1977 Rickenbacker 481. Using Pearly Gates at the bridge and '59 at the neck. Plays like a dream and sounds fantastic! IMG_1316.jpg

That is cool as hell! Man I like that design. Makes me think it's the bastard love-child of a 3-way between a 70's Iceman, a BC-Rich and a Gibson RD. Hot!

That is one sweet Esquire. You should marry Dawn, or start playing drums.

You are not far off. It is really kind of a bastardization of a Fernandes Vertigo with a lil of the RD in there as well. Good eye! And thanks a lot! I really appreciate the love!

Re: Let's see your Duncans!

Here is my very first build! I call her "Brenda"... Cuz Brenda got a big ole butt. Mahogany body, bubinga top, Duncan Invader bridge and JB neck.
