I love it, for the last 5 years I have been switching the neck and middle pups around but the PATB-2
has never come out. I really like it it, it is articulate and it cuts well but doesn't sound shrill or ice picky. I used this guitar primarily for my band which plays iron maiden-esque metal and it works well for me there!
One thing myself and anyone who seems to play it has noticed is that it is very unforgiving, if your technique is bad you'll really notice!! A good friend and gifted guitar tech is currently installing a Push/Push on this guitar, I've not heard it split before so I'm eagerly awaiting its return so I can find out!

You're not seeing things. That fretboard and neck are painted grey, there are subtle EVH like stripes of altered finish texture, that is a skull for one knob and that other knob does go to 11. It is ugly and it is PROUD.

Here's a couple of mine, the first is an Ibanez RG421QM with a Black Winter set, second is a Gibson SGJ with a Custom 8 I just installed today. I'm really loving the alnico 8 I put in the custom, I might try it out on the Black Winter bridge.
I've also got a Schecter C-7 with a Nazgul & an Epiphone Les Paul Jr '57 reissue with an SP90-2

I find that the moment you go away from PAF polepieces (one row of slugs, one row of screws) you lose that smoothing out your play that they do. Whether you go hex polepieces or PATB or rails.

Yes, Epi Goth Studio. It was my first guitar actually. I really like the Snark tuner, I gave away the Fender one I used to use once the Snark came in May. I'd play that LP more but frets 16-20 on the high E and 16-17 on the B are dead from bad leveling at the factory and the low E buzzes a bit but sometimes I plug it in just for the low end crunch. It sees so little use that I'm selling the dimebucker out of it and I'm gonna eventually fix it up nice and give it some great pickups. It has pretty good tone to it.
I had a Schecter Omen 6 C-1 with the JB/Jazz setup but I traded it for the '02 Epi Les Paul I'm selling. I will say, I loved the JB in the omen but the Jazz and I didn't match.
I wish I still had some photos of the Schecter I could post.
