Lets see your Fat Strat!

Re: Lets see your Fat Strat!

Here's one I put together, and it's a main player right now.
Rare black pearl dust Strat Plus body from the 90's. The neck and all hardware is American 50th Anniversary 2004 parts. HS pickguard from Warmoth, courtesy of Theodie. Custom/59 A5 and Chubtone 63 single. 3 way toggle. Plays and sounds great.

Joe, I hate it when you show that one....LOL. That body is just so incredibly cool. I love it. :bigthumb:

Re: Lets see your Fat Strat!

Here's my 2004 MIA....... :) I'm kicking around the idea of putting the stock knobs back on. I'd get them in black though. I need to get a black selector switch tip as well.

Fender Jap Antigua JB jr in the bridge, hotrod, i'd have to agree with whoever said they prefer a HB in their strat's bridge. versitility in spades.

Here's the twins. One in black pearl dust and one in blue pearl dust. The blue one has my favorite strat pickups, Chubtone 69's.

These guitars are hard to photograph, because of reflections. The pickups look white, but they're aged white.

Re: Lets see your Fat Strat!

Keeping it "Fender" Strats only, or the like (with Strat headstock) by no means implies descrimination towards non-Fender Fat Strats. It's just a categorization and a neat way to show just those Fender Fat Strats. Who knows, I might start a thread for single-bucker guitars that aren't Fenders. ;)

Re: Lets see your Fat Strat!

Those are some awesome fat strats! The closest I have to one right now is a Cort Impala with a SD hotrails.

Re: Lets see your Fat Strat!

Erm... do single sized humbuckers count?

If so then here's my baby:

Hee, this is my precious 2000 MIM Strat with a brand new (Fender) pickguard, electronics, a Fast Track 2 in the bridge and a Fast Track 1 in the neck...

After a lot of time I have come to think that the white FT2 actually gives it character...
(I only did it because I put it there first, when I still had the original white pickguard...)
