Whats up all?
I have been playing the same kind of strings since the 70's. I buy Fender Nickel plated Steel. Over the decades I have tried other brands but always go back to them. The Bullets are nice which replaced the older models I played back in the 80's as they don't sell them anymore.
Recently I picked up a pair of Pure Nickel Fender Strings and as they are ok, I get some weird ringing on the high E string meaning the Plain Steel or in this case Nickel. I thought by going with a Jazz string I could mellow out some of the extreme high's and round out the mid range. This is true except for that E string.
Just curious what are the Hot strings today? I'm a left over Heavy Metal 80's guitarist and don't stray from that style much but I'm trying to learn some Blues Guitar now which falls right into 80's metal anyway LOL.
