Re: Lets talk Boogie
No prob guys, I had to be realistic ya know I don't need a 4x12 cab in my room, and if I do start gigging which is exactly what I'm aiming for. I'll plug through a PA anyway, but surely if the time came where I need the 4 12's I'll go for it.
2x12 does sound fun, same speakers and boxed in, I imagine some major bottom end it would seem.
But let me go into detail with my amp, in all seriousness I was so happy I could barely play clean and clear I was too 'fidgety' I guess. But the tones I'm getting out of this are amazing!
For example the pressence tone has such an affect, that merely blowing air on the dial to make it move would seem like a subtle change. The gain is so sharp, exactly what I wanted! Its like a pierce, I need to sit down and really get a feel for this head. And with what I've experienced so far thats not going to be a problem
It brings to life so much tone that I've been dying for, and makes my Strat and Jackson feel right at home. Also never to disappoint me, the Head also put me into shock with some warm cleans. Very impressive, I didn't see it coming! When I got done finger picking through some licks I was just amazed by how much better it sounded as it was to my playing. It makes me want to play faster.
Outstanding Amp, Mesa/boogie is definately worth all the cash I just sloshed to it. Unfortunately its midnight here and I can't plug in, but I just love it. The appearance and everything!
Just got done filling out my survey, I'll have that mailed tomorrow. Such an impressive amp. I should be getting my 2x12 in like 3 weeks. And as far as the price, who cares, and o yea your right I can't get the price down. But I looked at like this: I'm the only person to own this amp so my resale price will be really good, if I ever want to get rid of it. And since I'm wanting it anyway, hell buy it new.
Money is money, its meant to be spent.....Ramen noodles anyone?
