Liberator Wiring for EVH Wolfgang bridge and neck pickups

Hi I have just purchased a liberator I also have EVH Wolfgang bridge and neck pickups. looking thru the forum I can find any wiring info for these pickups. I am looking at this wiring diagram as it is the closest http://www.seymourduncan.com/support...LB1_1v1t_LBVOL looks straight forward except both pickups have the Green and white wires soldered together and insulated. Which just leaves me a red and black wire. The colors don't match any of the charts I have found. what is the best thing to do match the black and red wires with the liberators or de solder the green and white. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Welcome to the forum.

The EVH brand pickups use the same conductor insulation coding colours as SD but not in the same order. Looking at the translation Support page, EVH appears to follow the Gibson and Lawrence convention.

EVH to SD
Red = Black
White = White
Green = Red
Black = Green
Bare = Bare

So, yes, you will need to desolder the white and green conductors. It would be advisable to clean up the conductor ends before offering them up to the screw-in terminals.

Not sure how you were able to work out the wiring but thanks for your help it is greatly appreciated. I would like to ask one more question. The EVH wiring diagrams I have found on the internet say to connect the output jack to the Volume pot 500k but when I look at the Seymour Duncan wiring diagram for 2 pickups 1 vol and 1 tone they say to connect it to the tone pot 250k, does it matter which one it is connected to will it affect the tone.
