Hey everybody and I welcome myself to the forum.....
Oh and Happy and creative New Year to all of you....
Now,
I have been playing guitar for 25 years. I play blues (Stevie Ray, Jimi, Fabulous etc), hard rock (Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy, Uli Roth, some Yngwie etc)
Some years ago i did something by accident that turned out to be great for the sound I'm looking for in the BRIDGE position. I have put a NECK "Lil' 59" on the bridge position of me strat. Without raising the output dramatically it gave me exactly what I need. More bite and got rid of the annoying treble of the single, but still sounds good for strat sounds.
Ok we got this covered. Now I'm looking to the same with the neck. Now I have Dimarzio's HS 3 (Yngwie thinking) but although my strat sounds are there, somehow on drive situations it's not ....."enough".
I was thinking of putting another "Lil' 59" neck on the neck position but I'm afraid to lose that "chunk" for my blues. I don't want my strat to sound like Gibson AT ALL (nothing against LPs, I own a 1978 LP custom).
Should I go for the "Lil 59"?
Any other suggestions?
Thanx for your time
