Lime Green Lacquer?

:banghead::banghead::banghead:
I can't seem to locate light, bright lime green lacquer, either in a spray can or in a quart or even a tint that I can add to the lacquer I've already got. Anyone know where to get some.

I find muted colors everywhere, but no bright lime green.:eyecrazy: I'm going crazy because I believe it must exist somewhere, but I don't know where.

I've found it in enamel several places, but I want lacquer.

Somebody help me, PLEASE.

Re: Lime Green Lacquer?

*if* you can use a metallic one (and aren't looking to do slime green):

<---- It ends up looking like the 4th guitar in my avatar.

Re: Lime Green Lacquer?

Thanks for your replies, but...

CTN and Dominus; that's about the color I'm looking for, but I don't want metallic.

bert123; thanks for that suggestion, but their lime green looks kinda muddy. Not as bright as I'm looking for.

Dominus,
I remember when you posted about your guitars. I have to admit that they look super terrific...all of them. If I can't find what I'm looking for I might just go with a metallic. The problem is that I'm going to do a burst to dark green around the edges and it may look weird going from a metallic to a plain dark green.

Anyone else got a suggestion of where I can get it? (yeah, yeah, I know what you're thinking. I'm married so I got that covered).

Re: Lime Green Lacquer?

Similar. I want the lime green much brighter and I'm going to have the dark burst a little more subtle...thinner, less black, more dark greenish.

Re: Lime Green Lacquer?

I've tried that, but the colors aren't pure enough to get the bright lime green I'm looking for. It turns out more like Brian's.

Yesterday I saw a great color at Auto Zone, almost exactly what I'm looking for. Unfortunately it was an engine enamel, they didn't have it in lacquer.:angryfire

Yup, when I did slime green I had to use the engine enamel. I'm sure you can do it with the Mixol tints, it'll just be VERY hard.

:bling: I think I've found it!!!

It's an plain color (not metallic) auto lacquer in a spray can. Looks very similar to Dominus' Lime Ice but maybe a bit more yellowy. We'll see when I get it and can spray a sample spot.

Nice! You might want to grab two cans. I was able to get one body out of each 3 oz can but sometimes I was really shaking the can as I was spraying the back of the body. :D

It should be nearly identical to this color here:
