Lindy just called and we talked about 20 minutes. Apparently, I have some sort of grounding problem... I really appreciate his time, he played the pickups through his Princeton, asked some questions, and figured the problem out. Way cool guy.

Correct - I am a freaking terror with a soldering iron.
I have partnered with Mike Metz of Thesis Audio since 1983, who is a recognized genius with a soldering iron - so he does it.
After all, if you want something done right - get the best. And he is IT.
If you want a fantastic new nut, a glassy playing refret job, a stunning refinish, or an ass-kicking new guitar from scratch.... I'm your man.

I'm very interested to see some pics of your builds from scratch. We have a few forum members who are amazing builders. I'm not amazing myself, but I have done quite a few pretty decent builds.

I'm very curious how you get echo, or reverb, or chorus, or fuzz, etc. out of your guitar. Or are you saying that you never use any of these effects in your playing? It's just clean or overdrive?

No, but we've been at it longer than anyone else. And we fix the stuff they butch up (no brag, just fact).
I have thousands of pix on PhotoBucket I would normally direct you to.... But you know what they just did recently.
My deal is mostly repair these days, but I am currently building a pair of semi-hollows for 2 nephews.
I'm supposed to be semi-retired, but they won't leave me alone to run my eBay and Reverb stores in peace.

I'm done playing - I did the band thing for a long time, and I'm tired of butthole bar owners, and prima donna players who drink or do drugs.
I like a little reverb and maybe some delay if it's on the amp. I have a Marshall, little bitty one.
Back in the day I had phasers, chorus, flangers, and all that hoo-hah.
Now it's just an axe, a cord, and an amp.
I sit around playing bass, mandocello, or dulcitar a lot, because I don't have much interest in playing guitar anymore.
Besides - I'm old and have arthritis in my hands.
No one wants me to make any YouTube vids, they'd be bored to tears.
If I play guitar I get out my Eastman jazz box, and do bad Johnny A impressions.
