I happen to like my brother's FlexTone III XL quite a bit. I have plenty of tube stuff of my own but I would rock out on a FlexTone III, Vetta, or Spider Valve with zero shame.yes i can let you know if they are decent amps.
no they are not.
Not even the teenage kids in high school like them- which is their market.
Thanks for the help... Now I can make a informed decision
I brought my fender pro junior with a boss ds1 and it cut through the mix way better.
That's probably because he didn't tweak it.At least in my experience the Line 6 stuff I've tried has been useful for bedroom practice as they have lots of sounds but not so good in a live setting. I recently jammed with some friends and the other guitarist had a line 6 flextone. I brought my fender pro junior with a boss ds1 and it cut through the mix way better. With bass and drums the digital amp just disappeared in the mix. I'd recommend getting a basic tube amp like one of the fender hot rod series and a couple of pedals. I think Jeff Beck uses a Pro Junior and those are pretty inexpensive, and loud for a 15watt amp.
