Reining PunLowered
I've wanted one of these for awhile. I finally pulled the trigger.
Pros
1. It's SMALL. The receiver's footprint is about the size of a stomp box, but it weighs nearly nothing.
2. The transmitter is small as well, and the input is 1/4". Any instrument/patch cable will work.
3. It's TRANSPARENT. I hear no difference in my tone.
4. It uses AA batteries and holds a charge for ~8 hours.
5. It has six switchable channels.
6. There are signal AND battery power indicator lights on the RECEIVER. :bigok:
Cons
1. The input and the on/off switch are on opposite sides of the transmitter. I'm using a wireless "pouch", so I have to take it out to operate the switch.
2. It is housed in light-weight plastic. I'm not sure how durable it is. Then again, I don't intend to abuse it.
3. One relatively consistent flaw mentioned in reviews is the belt clip. Apparently it's prone to breakage. Hence the "pouch" in #1 above.
Final Cut:
I really like this unit. I've used it in rehearsal. I'll really test it at a gig next week.
