line 6 tone port with either guitar+effects or keyboards

alright i've got a couple simple questions. anybody with the line 6 tone port,how well does it take effects run through the front? and does it take keyboards on a clean setting alright?

It has basic mic pres for an input so it should be fine for both. I think the mic pres are great for software.
