lipstick tube general questions

just pondering . .. . . .

is a lipstick tube more hum resistant than a normal strat single coil? more shielding because of the chrome? or whatever the shiny stuff is?

how is the thing made? is it a magnet rod on the inside with the copper wiring around a rod?

just curious, anyone know?

#1: No significant advantage over a quality strat single in noise rejection.

#2: Wire wrapped around an alnico VI bar that acts as a blade polepiece. This is then encased in a chrome tube, which in the early days were left over lipstick cases.
