List every amp you've ever owned!

Re: List every amp you've ever owned!

1) Peavey Rage 158-- my first ever practice amp. Lasted foreer and I thought it was great for what it was. The dirty channel sucked hard though.

2) Crate GT1200 Half Stack-- bought it for the first metal band I played with. Don't remember it to much other than it was stupid loud and a PITA to lug around.

3) Behringer GMX 212 combo-- got an insane deal on it. Didn't have it for a long time. Decent amp

4) Epiphone Valve Junior mini full stack-- traded the behringer and $50 for it. My first tube amp and I'll never go back. Loved how it broke up but the clean tone sounded terrible I thought after a while. At the end of the day, it's just really loud.

5) Blackstar HT5R-- replaced the valve. Really like this amp but it wasn't loud enough for what I needed

6) Blackstar HT20-- currently have it. Love it

Re: List every amp you've ever owned!

Let's see if I can remember them all. Not as many as some of you have had, that's for sure.

Fender Squier 15 (very first electric guitar amp)
Peavey Bandit 75
Peavey Special 112
Peavey Triumph 60 head
Peavey 5150 head (one of the early ones)
Crate Blue Voodoo 120 head

Re: List every amp you've ever owned!

Peavey Rage 108 (oh man ...)
Yamaha G100-212 III (kind of wish I still had this one sometimes - big and clean)
Marshall VS65R (my first amp with a tube in it - great for what it was)
Fender Hot Rod Deluxe (an MIA one, my first all tube amp, beautiful clean)
Mesa DC-3 combo (my first Mesa)
Atomic Reactor 112 (decided to do a modelling based rig at one point)
Mesa Stiletto Ace head (my first "big" Mesa and first head. Immortalized on the first Coloured Animal album)
Vox Valvetronix VT30 (liked it at first, then grew to hate it)
Mesa Mark V (my dream amp! Every channel is awesome)
Fender Mustang I (awesome little practice and recording tool)

Re: List every amp you've ever owned!

Yamaha HY-10GIII.
Absolute garbage. I did the almightly Boss GE-7 + Boss MT-2 combo with it and it rocked that way. Sort of.

Roland Cube 60.
Huuuuge upgrade. 100% gig worthy, versatile and a great clean channel.
I still like it, despite the dirt models being crap. Excepting the Vox one. It spoiled me towards having Tremolo on tap. I miss that.

Egnater Tweaker 15 head + DIY 1x12 cab.
Nirvana. LOVE it. All I need now is a good versatile boost in front of it. And a tremolo pedal. And a compressor.

I still have them all. The Yamaha is down to pieces, the Roland's at the drummer's house and the Egnater is sitting here besides me. :)

Re: List every amp you've ever owned!

Some cheap brand apparently only made that year (1983). I ended up smashing it like a good rock star.

A tube amplifier that was some voice amp from god knows how old found in a garage. Wish I still had it but it seems somebody got rid of the "old tech".

50W Marshall head, details I don't recall. That one lasted a while. Was blue inside but black tolex outside, some classified ads buyer later tore me a new one over that.

Original Vox AC30. *(&*((##*#&# heavy. (*()@@&^($#)# loud.

Various PA transistor amps used with preamp gizmos, including a X100 Rockman. Yes, that's what I did after selling the AC30. [pads himself on shoulder] In my defense, the speakers behind it weren't half bad, with EV 10Ls. After the speaker simulation that came out nice enough.

1979 JMP 50 Watt 2 input. My main amp today.

Recently bought a 1964 Super Reverb but mostly as a stock market replacement.

Re: List every amp you've ever owned!

A Rockman?! Hahaha, awesome.

With a 2x30 band EQ after it. I think I wasn't motivated to play in bands and didn't make an effort anymore :)

Still have that Rockman but the battery contacts are ruined by a battery leak.

Re: List every amp you've ever owned!

I smoked way too much pot to be able to remember every amp I've had in my possession over the last 20+ years.

Re: List every amp you've ever owned!

Crate GX15 (or something like that, some small solid state channel switching Crate combo).

Fender Vibrolux Reverb

Fargen Epic 30 DC

Bad Cat Hot Cat 30

Crate V32 Palomino

Bogner EL-34 Shiva w/ Reverb

Roland Micro Cube

Hughes & Kettner Triamp

Bogner EL-34 Shiva (non reverb)

Hughes & Kettner Duotone

Sound City L-200 Plus

Vox AC-15
