4) Rack system powered by a Marshall 8008 (still my current "go to" system)

Re: List every amp you've ever owned!

I still have most of the amps I ever bought. I did have a Roland JC77. I bought that amp with my first Strat in 87. I bought a 68 Super Reverb with the intention of A/Bing it the the JC, but once I got the SR I realized that the JC just sucked by comparison so I sold it. Here is what I have:

Marshall 900 50 combo Dual Reverb. Nice amp but the OD is a little too dark to my liking nowadays. I gigged with this amp for many years and it served me well.

1968 Super Reverb Great sounding amp with tones of headroom. I don't use it much nowadays but I see no reason to sell it.

1968 Deluxe Reverb A Fantastic amp. It has a great amount of clean but once the volume gets to about 4.5 it starts to drive very nicely. These amps are great blues/ blues rock amps. They are known for cleans but anybody who owns one will tell you that these amps are far from clean when you get them cranked up.

Bogner Shiva 1 12" combo This is a wonderful amp. IMHO it is one of the best all around amps I have ever used. The cleans rival any Fender, the reverb is to die for & the drive is everything I could want. The only thing I would do different today is I would have bought a head and hooked it up to either a 2 12" or a 4 12". The heads are easier to move the combo weighs in at about 90lbs.

Komet 60 hands down this is the best amp I have ever played through. It has the most character of any amp I know and the notes just bloom when the volume is cranked a bit. I use this connected to a Marshall 1960 AX with 4 greenbacks. Greenies are the right speaker for this amp.

Early on I owned a BF Vibrolux. I think it was a 66. I didn't sell it I fried the tranny at a gig & it would up in the trash(long story) I think it got thrown away in 68 so it wasn't a vintage amp it was just a used amp that was broken.

My first amp was a Reverb o Rocket which is suprisingly similar to a Deluxe Reverb.

Re: List every amp you've ever owned!

Thats a Monster collection racht thar.

I don't have a lot of this stuff anymore; I kept the tweeds, some BF stuff, and a few Ampegs and that seems to do the job. Some of this stuff used to be seriously dirt cheap and they came and they went over the years...kinda wish I had kept the Hiwatt and the big tweed Twin tho...
