list ONE discontinued pedal you wish they'd bring back...

Re: list ONE discontinued pedal you wish they'd bring back...

When they do bring them back all we do is whine about how the new ones aren't as good as the old ones :D

This post x1000

There's many clones around for a lot of discontinued pedals. BYOC is a good place to start.

HM-2, but better. Swedish chainsaw without the squeal and noise, that's what I need.

^ +1. Or the Boss Turbo Overdrive but with more output volume.

For me, the Mr. Crybaby Super.

That was the wah I used for several years, and it was one of Dunlop's best wahs, simply because it doubled as a volume pedal and had a boost.

The Boss OD-1 for sure, although I'm wondering if the new OD-3 is just as good? I always thought the OD-1 would have been better with a tone control.
Then, Boss came out with the Super OD, which didn't sound as good.
Now, we've got the OD-3, which may be an improvement.

The original gold Klon Centaur being available for it's original price of $230 would be nice. I don't get how Bill Finnegan has ended up. You'd think he'd be cranking those out made by a factory for the rest of his life.

One of the coolest pedal companies was Lovetone. I wish they were back with the best envelope filter ever made, the Meatball.

The Mutron Phasor, in a smaller box, with a 9v jack instead of the AC power.

Man, I totally forgot about this thing. Inwanted one of these so badly when I was younger, but could never afford it. That's certainly not getting easier.

The OD-3 circuit is quite different from the OD-1 and while nice, I like the OD-1 over the OD-3. Crazy enough, the SD-1 and OD-1 share the same circuit, just a handful of differences in there, and the tone control. I've modded SD-1's to OD-1 specs (8-pin version) with really good results.

I've never heard an OD-1, but I have an OD-3 and I've had a few SD-1's. I can't imagine anything closely related to an SD sounding anything like the OD-3. The OD-3 is more like a Rat-lite/Rhino.
