Lite Ash Strat vs. Players Deluxe Strat

As you may have guessed, I've got strat gas BIG time.

Has anyone had the chance to play a Lite Ash strat or a Deluxe Player's Strat? Both of these look like very tempting guitars.

The Lite Ash features: ash body, birdseye maple neck, abalone dot inlays, SD Alnico II pups, and 2 point trem.

The Deluxe Players Strat features: Ash body, vintage trem, gold hardware, vintage noisless pups, and a button to activate the bridge pup for 7 different pup selections.

Anyone have any opinions or experience with these two guitars? If you think one is better than the other, please explain why...

Thanks!

Re: Lite Ash Strat vs. Players Deluxe Strat

Ive played a Lite Ash, It was fairly good, but i wasnt too into the ash body, kind of heavy and dense. But I have never tried the Deluxe Player, I would consider going after a Jimmie Vaughan MIM, some guys in here love it.

Re: Lite Ash Strat vs. Players Deluxe Strat

Go for the DELUXE PLAYER STRAT! The light ash looks really cheep in person. I thought it was a copy the first time I saw one! It has a cheep looking Fender logo that looks just like a sticker someone slapped on. the frets were sticking out of the side of the fret board, that is going to need to be filed down, and the pickups didn't impress me either. I think this guitar is built in china or someplace, NOT US or Mexico.
The Deluxe player is much better. It has the spegetti logo, nice neck, VINTAGE NOISELESS pickups! tortoise pickguard, I am not too big on the super switch, but thats just me. Also the hardware on the light ash seemed pretty crappy. When I first bought my mexican strat, I had to replace a lot of the hardware because my sweat was rusting the hardware. Never had that problem with USA, classic, and deluxe series. Hope this helps!

The 'Lite' Ash is one of the heaviest Strats I have played.

Re: Lite Ash Strat vs. Players Deluxe Strat

I've played both of them and I have to put my suggestion to the Player's Strat, I like the looks of both of 'em, and they both sound good, but I like the feel of the player's strat better, and the features. I'd say it's a better guitar overall.

Yes, it does help. Thanks for your input!

Any more opinions? Looks like the deluxe is the better axe...
