Hey I have two little 59's in my strat and the one in the neck is too boomy when playing chords, I was wondering if I can get any suggetions to stop this? I'm wondering whats a good height and if I should slant the PU, where the high E is closer to the PU than the low E is,or should I just leave it leveled like I do now?

Also I lowerd my action and my guitar doesnt buzz when I hit open strings but when you play after the 12th fret you can here the notes there buzzin(it doesnt sound to loud when the amp is on) is my action to low??

Re: Little 59': HELP PLEASE

Heres another tip that really helped my lil 59s sound much better.
Take your amp on the clean channel, with a comfortable volume, not too loud, and no distortion whatsoever. Adjust the pickup you are working on to be low, close to the pickguard. Play as you normally would, using only the pickup you are working on. Slowly start raising the pickup in small increments. Keep going, till you are almost touching the strings with the pickup. What you will notice, is that there is a sweet spot where that pickup in that position will sound best. too close to the pickguard will sound thin, too close to the strings will be boomy and possibly distorted. Somewhere in between, it will sound really good to you. I couldnt believe the difference in the sound and tonality of the guitar by just doing this small adjustment.. Good luck, let us know if this helps!
