Little ‘59 question

Should I use 250k or 500k pot? (I’m guessing 250).

How does it sound split in Bridge position?

Thank you.

I have one in the bridge of my Tele. It has the stock pots still (250k). It sounds great as is.

depends on the application. mixed with full size buckers? 500k. mixed with singles, 250k.

I like it with 250k- in fact, it was designed to work with stock electronics in a Strat or Tele. They are great in the bridge position- not exactly like a full size 59, but it really can't be because of the size of the coils.

Re: Little ‘59 question

I would never even consider running it with anything less than 500k pots. It's definitely NOT a bright pup like typical single coils, and not even as bright as the full-sized 59. I can't imagine that the Little 59 was designed to be used in the same guitar with true single coils, unless you wanted a full humbucker tone drastically different from the other pups just for versatility sake. But even then, it needs its own 500k pot.

Sorry to disagree with you guys. That's just my experience with it. Obviously, I'm not a fan of the "Little" version.

i the bridge i like i fine with 250k, in the neck i prefer 500k. in my case if its in the neck, its probably mixed with a bucker in the bridge. if its in the bridge then its probably mixed with singles and i like 250k, even though it is noticeably darker.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. It’ll be by itself in a single pickup Strat

I’d just wire it up with the pots you have. If you think it’s too dark, then change pots.
