LITTLE '59 vs. LITTLE '78 DIFFERENCES?

Hi all... This would be going in my Strat's Bridge position opposite SSL2's with auto-tap in the #2 position. I'm not playing anything heavy & hard, just good ol' RnR, Clean & overdriven bluesy stuff, using my Mesa DC3 Combo, but also wanted a good mate for that sweet #2 position. I've been using the '59 for years, but wanted to know a little more about the 78~~ Specs, etc.

Same here. I would assume a 78 will be hotter than a 59, but that's just wild guessing based on how Gibson was making humbuckers in those 2 years.

So my assumption about it being hotter is probably accurate then.

not necessarily. id guess more upper mids and less bottom, maybe a touch more output but probably pretty close

Think the little 78 is an Alnico V mag and the 59 is a ceramic for sure so would cause a feel difference. Would think the Red Devil would also be a nice pickup to throw in that mix. Less expensive than the 78 with an A 5 mag and no long wait for a full CS order so--.
