Hey guys, I'm sure u get this one all the time, but i could use some advice on a new neck pup. I'm in a pickle between the CC, 59', and the Alnico II Pro. I have a Gibson CS 57' Goldtop LP Darkback Reissue, i'm puttin a JB in the bridge. I want a warm, fat, and crisp sounding neck pup for soloing. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Do not put a CC in the neck, it will be all mud. The A2P is definitely warm and fat, but not what I would call crisp. It's more smooth than crisp. The 59 is a little heavier on the bottom end, possibly boomy with a little sharper high end than the A2P. I've fallen in love with the A2P, so that would be my choice. But the 59 is also a very nice neck pickup for the right guitar. You really can't go wrong with either.

ALright, would u say the A2P carries more sustain than the 59' on a Les Paul?

Neither adds to nor detracts from the sustain, but the APH has a smoother top and not s much bottom, and perhaps a bit more mids.
