Little Question - Phase

Re: Little Question - Phase

You never said what your single coil was, so helping you with your mystery meat now seems rather pointless, don't you think?

Unlike you, I was very specific about what I was talking about, TYVM.

E.g.:
Standard Duncan single coils are the same as humbucker screw/outside coils: south.
[...]
The Antiquity Texas Hot is the exception. It was designed to comply with the modern day singles by Fender.

...this all assumes a standard Duncan humbucker and a standard, non-RW/RP Duncan single that is not an Antiquity Texas Hot.

I think at this point you have to just wire it up and see if it works. I think you have all the info on hand that you could need.

Re: Little Question - Phase

BTW, when aligned face to face, your single coil pickup will repel the humbucker coil that will cancel hum when the two are wired together in phase. If it isn't the coil you want then flip the bar magnet inside the humbucker.

As for the wiring, it is usually easiest to swap wires on the single coil, unless it has two wires and one is dedicated to ground because connects to a shield and/or baseplate.
