Locking tuners and strings with low tension

There are plenty of guitar innovations that should be standard by now but tradition won't let it happen. Composite fretboards, stainless steel frets, strap locks, LSR or graphite nuts, locking tuners...no reason for them not to be on most guitar.

I agree these are all great innovations but they all have some drawback and they don't make what preceded them 100% obsolete. Except maybe synthetic nuts. I see no downside there other than if it costs more thank cheap plastic or animal bone. Some players prefer a wood fretboard feel or nickel silver frets. An automatic transmission is a huge improvement over manual, but manual is still made and sells in small numbers. People still by vinyl instead of CD's or digital. Whether that's preference or tradition, dunno.

Which I don't understand composite feels so much better. It is smoother and much easier to control bends. Like I said it is more about tradition.

I know it happens but I wouldn't generalize that everyone who doesn't prefer the latest and greatest is doing it because of tradition. Everyone has their opinion and preferences. For you composite fretboards feel smoother and better. For me composite fretboards feel unnatural and distracting. Maybe they've gotten better or there's newer options I haven't tried. It's not because I want my guitar to have a traditional fretboard. I got used to something and it works for me. But I can't play finished maple necks because my finger chemistry sticks to them. And I use heavy strings and bend and fret hard so I wear frets out. Now all my necks have Stainless Steel frets, and the all Roasted Maple ones with light lemon oil are my favorites to play. Some new things work for me...some don't.
