Longhorn DC pup change - need help

OK I'm new here...

I have a Longhorn DC with (2) EMG 85s and a LR Baggs Piezo bridge. I love the look and feel. I got tired of the sound way too fast. I

I'm thinking more a vintage sound. Is it possible to put in a set of Seth Lovers in place of the EMGs? I have contacted Gibson about it, but after a week, no reply. Calling EMG was useless. Seymour Duncan CS thinks it may be a gut and start over situation. I am still waiting to hear back from JR Baggs since its their board in it. Keep in mind, I don't want to drill any holes.

Here is the layout.
2 - EMG 85s
1 - piezo bridge
2 - output jacks (1 Mix piezo/EMG, 1 EMG only)
1 - 3 way toggle (EMGs only, standard Gibson pup selection)
3 - control knobs (1 EMG only volume, 1 piezo volume, 1 EMG tone)

Any ideas?

That's a sweet burst.

Absolutely, and IMO, that would rock.
For a more rockish sound, I'd look at a PGn/Brobucker or an APn/CCb(Custom, Custom Custom, Custom 5) set. With the 4-conductor pups, I'd look at getting Triple Shots as well.
With 2 four-conductor pups, a set of Triple Shot pickup rings and 2 x push/pull pots, you can get the full Jimmy Page wiring scheme plus(the Triple Shots allow you to select the specific coil you're cutting).

Wiring up a master volume/master tone harness would be pretty straightforward and I'd check out folks like RSGuitarworks or Tonemojo for some examples.

The only tricky bit will be connecting to the LR Baggs board to access the piezo/pups output and I'm thinking that isn't even really necessary.
They do the mixed signal output for when you only have one amp.

Should be a lotta fun.

I have the same exact guitar and would like to know any updates on how you did the pickup swap. Im interested to put a pair of 57 classics on this guitar. I love the emgs but for me, it has only one sound. I want to have a vintage tone to this guitar.

Since this tread is 4.5 years old and the OP only had 1 post, I suspect he isn't going to respond.

That said, putting 57s in would work just fine. You will need to replace the mag pickup volume and control pots as these are probably 25K and you will need standard 500K.

LR Baggs Ctrl-X board and the T-Bridge install manuals.

Good luck!
