Look at my guitar collection and tell me what you think.

Re: Look at my guitar collection and tell me what you think.

I sold off most of my collection except for the few working ones. I know that my 1971 HMV Trent may be worth something, as I have had a few offers on it. I got that thang restored about a few months ago except for the audio. If anything I did make a good decision by culling down my TV collection to a few pieces I like. I also sold my Atari 2600 for $70 to a pawnshop. I still have my C64 and Amiga 500, those two computers are probably going up on the chopping block next and then i'll throw the money towards a Blacktop Strat.

Well, at least I warned at the time you not to go poking your fingers into the back of the high voltage CRT tube, and that it could kill you, and you are still here, so .

Re: Look at my guitar collection and tell me what you think.

Eh, it's ok. I didn't wanna poke back there anyway. I always seek my personal tech to do that kinda stuff. He was the one who restored it. I should hook it all up and take a pic for your gaunder.

Re: Look at my guitar collection and tell me what you think.

If this is the Nathaniel off the Marshall forums, then its too late.. he already collects old Console TV's, and old shot ship boat anchor Pianos beyond repair- has a large room full- even * I gave him static over that..no one collects consoles, and everyone gave him **** over the Pianos.. Plus I think he was asking for free stuff over there, and he got a lot of flak for that. It MAY not be the same person, but I think it is.
And the only reason I hoard is a cause a lack of space.Basically All the stuff in the room is being sold, however I do wanna thank people for lighting a fire under my a** to start getting it done..

HOLY CRAP DUDE! I didnt put 2 and 2 together until you said that! He was always on there blathering about leslies and smashing a girls car who forgot she was his girlfriend.

I forgot about all that crap after he got banned a couple years ago. Agent N's BS was legendary.

Re: Look at my guitar collection and tell me what you think.

This isn't even my whole collection but you can see 15 clearly visible instruments (and one G&L with the headstock out of frame).

I don't even have anywhere close to the biggest collection on the forum (but I probably have the biggest collection of lefties on here until someone proves me wrong).

Use your kitchen and perch somewhere nice and high.

Re: Look at my guitar collection and tell me what you think.

Interesting how you have your P-Rails mounted. How's she sound?

Edit: Ooops. Hijacking the OP's thread.

i think the op opened this thread to be hi-jacked.

anyway, i don't really remember the theory behind reversing the neck P.U.
i never had it in the normal way. but i remember there was some reasoning behind it
i also installed an A8 magnet in the bridge P.U. so i don't know what it sounds like stock.
i guess they sound good?
i did a search in the pickup forum here for p-rails and read almost everything everybody had to say.
the reversed neck is in there somewhere

Those aren't lefties, you just reversed the image.

Re: Look at my guitar collection and tell me what you think.

Back to the OP Nathan the collection looks great. You gotta start somewhere. That Ibanez sounds great by the way.

Re: Look at my guitar collection and tell me what you think.

I can't look at them because the rug is crooked. Sorry, I can't help it.

Ha! Glad I am not the only one! XD

To the OP, +1 to the taking pics one at a time. Looks to me like two Ibbys, a Fender/Squier, and possibly a Samick....could be wrong. What tone/sounds are you getting right now and what are you wanting to accomplish by changing the pickups?

Re: Look at my guitar collection and tell me what you think.

Yeah I remember being 17 thinking my stuff was awesome!

Here's what I think: you really need 4 guitars that are basically the same thing? Sell at least 3 of them and use the cash for a real quality instrument: USA or japan made not korea, china, indonesia etc. Get something mahogany gibsonnish (humbuckers) and keep one strat (single coils) so you an cover a lot of ground.
Then learn as much songs as you can so you can play fun things at parties and get loads of karma, chicks and jealous guys who want to hang with you. Start a band, get even more girls etc... DO it now! :D

Re: Look at my guitar collection and tell me what you think.

A couch is not necessary…a Futon will also work…

Or if they don't look good indoors, got out by the pool. All guitars look better by the pool.

Indeed. Credibility is very important. There are certain hoops you gotta jump through in this world, fashion trends you have to conform to, in order to get certain people to take you seriously, people who might be well connected or otherwise influential. You often don't know who those people are until after a lasting impression has already been made, so you always have to be prepared, always dressing the part and presenting yourself as the safe bet they're looking for. An American or Japanese made guitar is like a calling card, it says you've got your finger on the pulse, you've got your eye on the prize, and you know there's a time for being yourself, and there's a time to fall in line. The world is built upon safe bets, and an American or Japanese made guitar makes you look like a very safe bet.

One simply cannot have too many Stratocaster's or Stratocaster style guitars. Who needs anything else? ;)

No, if you've played one Strat you've played them all??? Lol!!! I think of Strats & Teles as platforms, given the right materials I can make one sound like just about any other guitar & If one of these won't give me the tone I need one of my Teles or Offsets will! I have a A.S.A.T. that sounds more like a L.P. than most new L.P.'s because for some reason Gibson decided that it would be a great idea to start to suck sometime over the past 10-20 years? Now unless you're spending 3k or more your getting a $400 guitar with a $1,500 logo on it!!! I know that's probably going to P.O. a lot of you Gibson guys but you can't deny the fact that their quality control has gone downhill drastically??? Sent from my phone, sorry if it double drops the post!

Re: Look at my guitar collection and tell me what you think.

sick little family. looks like you could use some bc rich in your life.

Wash your mouth out with soap!!! LOL!!!!!!

A B.C. Rich in my collection would look about as natural as a nazi in a Mosque!!! I used to have a Warlock back in my younger days, it was a great guitar for me at the time & for the kind of stuff I was playing then but nowadays I like my edges a bit rounder? Fenders & G&l's make up the bulk of my friends? Although, I would like to get one of the discounted H/S hard tail Charvels while the price is right! I'm going to have to finish paying for my latest Strat first though???
