Looking at wah pedals. Any suggestions?

Re: Looking at wah pedals. Any suggestions?

Well, been listening to some RMC samples and suddenly...

A used RMC3 appeared! Old version with the controls internally.
Snatched it up and should be here this week.

Solid buy man. IMO Wah pedals are really hard to do get a bad sound out of. I've played many different ones and yeah they may sound different, but they always sounded good. Maybe not great but I was never disappointed with them.

Re: Looking at wah pedals. Any suggestions?

I'm onto my third Teese wah. The first was custom made for me by Geoffrey in 2006, an RMC1 which he built for me with a unity gain circuit, the standard circuit having a 6dB boost. I put a demo of it up somewhere and Geoffrey heard it and emailed me to ask if he could use my demo on his website, in fact, it's still there on this page... http://www.realmccoycustom.com/AUDIO.htm scroll down to "RMC1 Geoff Wells." I then found an older handwired RMC4 Picture Wah, and only a few weeks ago bought his recent RMC10, with a strong tip of its hat to an early Vox. I still have all three wahs, and they won't be going anywhere. The jump in quality over the generic modern Dunlops and Voxs makes Geoffrey's wahs worth every cent. Fulltone's Clyde is a good sounding wah, but I could never mesh with the sweep, it always felt alien to me, although many seem to love it. I have only heard good things about the Wilson wahs, but I have never played them...because my Teese wahs continue to bring me joy.

Cheers.................................... wahwah

It's here!

Seems like a steal for 130 bucks. Have it set on the Tomas/USA setting currently. Very smooth and warm. Kinda reminds me of the Marvin Gaye - Let's Get it On kinda sound. Haven't really tried other settings nor playing something else than porn soundtracks (hey, it's my first wah :)), but that's for tomorrow I guess.
Thanks for the info, tips and links to all!
