Hi guys!
I have been doing my research, so I apologize in advance if I overlooked a thread addressing my question. My question is in regards to bridge pickups with great cleans.
Now, I have a Jackson; JVM410H with a 1960av cab; Line 6 240HC; and, a Yamaha Pacifica. Lately, I've been playing almost nothing but clean tone progressions on my Pacifica. I run it through my stereo head 240HC/ 1960av and it sounds good for cleans. But, I'd like to upgrade the pickup to something that enhances the clean tones. I'm happy with the mid and neck pickup--for now--so it's the bridge pick up I'd like to replace.
I was thinking about the '59 bridge pick up as a replacement. But, the Pacifica already has a stock Alnico V in the bridge. Would a Seymour Duncan Alnico V '59 really be much better in terms or performance?
The other pickup that seems to get good reviews for cleans is the Alnico II Pro. Both seem suffice, but are there any other options I might be overlooking?
Thx
