Hey guys im looking for a tele style guitar for slide i want someting very cheap and was wondering where i should look. i have better guitars that i wanna spend money on so im looking for something that is dirt cheap like 100 bucks lol i dont care about playability and was thinking of putting a single coil sized duncan 59 in the bridge. Any sugesstions of a knock off tele maker. I know strat knock offs are so easy to find but not as much with teles

for 209...a Slick SL50. I've got one. It's as solid as any guitar I have. Needed fret work but of you're going for slide that's no concern.

Re: looking for a cheap slide tele

I use a MIJ Tele Custom and a MIJ Squire Strat as my slide guitars.

Got 'em pretty cheap but I did replace the pickups in both: Duncan Surfer and Custom Shop Tapped Tele Hot in my Strat and Fralin Vintage Hot neck and Custom Shop Jerry Donahue in my Tele.

Also replaced the bridge in my Tele with a Joe Barden because I could not damp the strings with my picking hand with the standard ashtray Tele bridge.

Watch out for Teles with cheap pickups. They can be very harsh and edgy. Not good for slide.

Squire classic vibe. Probably have everything you need stock.

Used Classice Vibe or Vintage Modified series Squiers. I bought my Vintage Modified Tele for $95 at a pawn shop.
