Thought I'd throw this one to the masses to recommend. I have a Tele I assembled from parts.
Alder body, maple neck/fretboard, ferrous ashtray bridge with 3 brass saddles.
I initially ordered a Deluxe Nashville Pickguard and control assembly; which came with Vintage Noiseless Tele pickups and Strat pickup; just like the current Deluxe Nashville Model. Sounded ok in that guitar. I removed them and installed them in another T-style guitar and they sound womderful. I will leave them in the "other" guitar.
I currently have a Nashville set in my Telecaster; a Tex Mex Tele set and a Tex Mex Strat pickup. They're not sounding very good. I normally like those pickups; but in this guitar, I don't like them.
Now, I need a new "Nashville" set for my partscaster. I would like to stay within a certain budget; DiMarzio, Duncan, Fender, etc. Don't want to go boutique $$$$.
Any input is appreciated.
