Looking for a Tascam Portastudio 464 Owners Manual...

I just got an Tascam Portastudio 464 in exchange for an Seymour Duncan '59 Humbucker pickup I had no use for (I know it's old technology, but it should still be fun having something hands on to fiddle with). It's really clean and in excellent condition, the only problem is that it didn't come with the owners manual. I've looked everywhere I can think of for a downloadable manual with no luck. The only thing I can find is the manual for the 424, and as similar as it is, it's not the same and some features are missing. Any help would be really appreciated.

Powell's Books in Portland Or. has a part that is all technical manuals and stuff like that. They deal in a lot used stuff. Mite be an outside shot.

I had one of those back in the day. Not much to it really. I'm sure lots of us here could help you with any tech questions. It's just a simple mixer with a recorder attached. Just ask.

Actually now that I think of it I might still have the manual. I said might. I'll have a look in the morning.

Re: Looking for a Tascam Portastudio 464 Owners Manual...

I have one of these...good grab.

I have not been able to find the manual for this model either. However, with a manual from a similar model and some time spent with it, there's not much you can't figure out on your own. If you do find one, please let me know though as it would be handy to have specific to this model!

If you need a hand let us know...haven't used mine in awhile but I'm sure we can figure it out.

TIP: Don't know how new you are to 4 tracks but do yourself a favour and go pick up a few good TYPE II cassettes. TDK SA-90 and Maxell XL-II's are no brainers.
