Looking for a Trey/less metal tone on my PRS S2 Semi-Hollow

Looking to switch out my #7 pups on my S2 22 Semi (Korean made, Hollow Maple top, Mahogany back and neck, Rosewood fretboard. I've heard the Korean Maple Tops are softer, not sure how that affects pickups though). I've never loved the sound of the #7s.

I'm looking at Alnico II Pros, but considering doing the A2P for the Neck and either a SH-1 (59s) for the bridge, or the Custom 59's for an even hotter bridge.

I play no metal, but do like a good bluesy crunch. I like playing a little of everything, from nice smooth jazzy sounds to pop to jam bands to garage rock. I'm drawn more to sounds like Trey Anastasio's tone but I find even his setup a little thin at times, which is why I'm drawn to the A2Ps.

What are your thoughts? How would these pups compare to the ‪#‎7s‬?

I get my drive through my pedals, which are:
Crybaby > Tu2 > Prestige Buffer > Analogman Ts9 Silver Mod > Analogman Ts9 Silver Mod > Keeley Compressor > Park Fuzz > Small Stone > EQD Hummingbird Trem > Nova Repeater > Hall of Fame > Ditto

TLDR:
Would a SH-1-B pair well with a A2P-N?
Would SH-16-B be too hot to pair with a A2P-N?
Should I just go with a set of A2Ps or just a set of SH-1s?
Are there other pickups I should be looking at that I'm not considering?
What is the closest Duncan equivalent to the stock #7's I have already?

Thanks everybody. This is my first post!

FYI The S2's are American made, with American quality woods- but with PRS's Korean made hardware and electronics. If it's an SE then it's all Korean.

Most American PRS have a resistor/cap on the volume control to retain highs while turning the volume down. Personally I would try desoldering that to remove it out of the circuit- then the guitar would get darker and more mellow as you turn the volume down. Trey uses Duncan 59's, so you may want to try them.

Trey also uses Tube Screamers and Fender or Mesa amps, giving a smoother tone. So in other words

Not only did you write an incomplete post, you edited it and then reposted it.

Thanks all! I don't know why but I never got a notification that anybody responded. I'm ended up getting a set of APIIs and am attempting to put them in another guitar (that's a whole different thread) and going to get the 59's for the Semi-hollow.

I'll keep everybody updated with how it goes.
