I've searched all over & haven't found much info on these old pickups. I remember seeing ad's when I was a kid lusting after a set of the strat pickups but can't find much on the net the last few days. I got these in a Tele pawn shop find years ago in L.A. & was finally getting around to deciding what to do with them. I can't make out the markings on the Strat pickups sticker, The sticker on the Tele bridge pickup is 1B-D but other 1B pickups I've seen were different. All I can figure is Debbie Nyquist may have wound it? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance, Joe

the tele bridge is an old hot stack, strat looks like a classic stack

Old is right..... they had the maroon covers back in the 80's.

I forgot to mention in the original post.. D.C. resistance for the Tele pickup is 8.86 & the Strat pickup 5.94 on my meter.

Thanks for the tip Jeremy.. I'll see if I can dig up anything specific on early versions of those models.

I figure these do come from the early 80's based on my memory of seeing the adds with these covers a long time ago. Some of the other mods to the guitar were from the early 80's.

those both seem very low for stacks, are they wired in parallel?

I know Trevor Rabin still uses one of the Strat stacks in his classic Fender. I agree, though the DCR seems pretty low for a stack like this that was supposed to be pretty hot. I am sure someone has some hind of historical documentation that I don't have access to.

You caught me sleeping LOL.. Yes. The Strat pickup is actually about 11.70.. I didn't re-check the Tele pickup yet.
