Looking for Vintage 30 substitute

Does anyone know of a speaker that's comparable to the Vintage 30 in tone (to some degree) but mainly in efficiency? And North American made.
I have an amp that needs more headroom and the speaker in it now is the problem I believe. A very efficient speaker would help but I would like to get something besides Celestion. Thanks. - Rob

Eminence Legend V12 or some other Eminence speakers. Go to www.avatarspeakers.com to check some out. If you don't buy used, this will be your best price almost guaranteed. Send Dave an email with your exact question and you'll get your answer with prices.

Yes. The Legend is the older version and is a bit more in your face and raw than the Celestion. I've got one cab with the Legends and one with the V30s so I did the AB thing.

The governor or even the wizard if you want the same breakup with more volume and slightly different mids + more bass

What's wrong with the Vintage 30's? I love those speakers.

Re: Looking for Vintage 30 substitute

Mojo makes 3 British clones, V30, G12H30 and Greenbacks. Great speakers.

Re: Looking for Vintage 30 substitute

I can vouch for the Mojotone G12H30s clones. They are very nice, especially when burned in.
