Jeez, why do you need a meeting to figure out how to find some useable tones in a POD? Ha Ha.

Maybe I should crash their meeting and show up and say "OK, Bozo's I'm here to make you backup the claim that all those esoteric amps you bought as a tax right off are equal to your models." I'll walk right past all their marketing guys, start grabbing all the tube amps in their factory, and make them put their money where their mouth is. LOL They have all these promo shots of Line 6 guys standing in front of vintage and boutique amps. I'll start A/Bing, and prove that there not one Line 6 model that equals their Marshalls, Fender, Vox's, Matchless, and Bogners. LOL

They'll be like "who let this A hole in here!" Ha Ha Ha.

Re: Los Angeles Line 6 User Group Meeting!

You'd be surprised how many can't find a good tone! They never played one of these great amps before, so they don't have a clue how to dial it in. I'm amazed at how many people use the presets and never turn the knobs.

This meeting is mostly about guitars. Lots of crew actually own plenty of tube gear and pretty serious stuff I might add. Remember we're trying to expand the palette, not shrink it.

Not too worry, we've converted plenty of A Holes! :laugh2: All kidding aside, come on down, seriously!

I used to be on the LA User's group board a long time ago. Still check in now and again. AZ has some great Line6 knowledge and a real cool personal website, too. He's helped me out on a number of occasions with my Line6.

Nice to see you again AZ.

Re: Los Angeles Line 6 User Group Meeting!

Hey Hey Matt! Thanks! How's things? Yep we still plug away, but not as many meetings nowadays. We just have them a couple of times a year now when new stuff comes out and we get to play with it before others do.

We've got some other surprises this time, but can't say until they are cleared that they are ready to show off.

Stop on by more often to the old board!

Re: Los Angeles Line 6 User Group Meeting!

Wish I could be there ... but alas I can't ...

Have fun!

Re: Los Angeles Line 6 User Group Meeting!

We've got a pile of Canadian users on my site. Surprised they haven't put a meeting together.

Re: Los Angeles Line 6 User Group Meeting!

AZ,

I got that Line6 Edit going, and I "stole" a bunch of your settings. I found a few Marshall 80's patches that have now probably setup permanent home on my Flex IIXL. For some reason, I've had a tough time getting the Marshall tone I like, but I think that with your settings, and a few personal tweaks I might be there.

Cool! Try that Ferrara.LIB file too. There's plenty of shred stuff in there for the POD2 and Flex II's.

Re: Los Angeles Line 6 User Group Meeting!

Got it! Will check it!

Hey funny thing, some of those patches with no speaker emulation sound great as-is. Wuzzup wit' dat?

Re: Los Angeles Line 6 User Group Meeting!

Be thankful for forgiving modelling algorhythms I guess... I wish I could take teh credit for extremely fine tuning... haha!
