ok, regular strat setup, and i decided to replace the bridge pickup with a splittable pearly gates -- it sounds great in #1, bridge, position, either as humbucker or split(to slug) -- and #3, the old middle single coil is fine -- but in #2 position, split humbucker with middle, i've lost a lot of volume -- i have several of these cheap strat clones, all same manufacturer, the others don't lose volume like this in #2 -- wondering if i should try swapping the green wire(-) with the black(+)?

i'm answering my own post -- found a video on this, and it would appear that the pearly gates is out of phase with the 2 single coils, so either i switch green with black on the bridge, which will make it split to the screws instead of the slug, or i have to reverse the wires from the single coils
