****ing Hails Guys
how are you?!?!
I have a small TECH question i would like to do .
I just bought a JACKSON DKMGFF and when i received it, i just realized it has a archtop body and a LOW Profile Floyd rose bridge.

heres my question : i want to sell the body and the bridge , and build one to fit the neck.
Will i be forced to Buy a low profile Bridge? or can i buy a regular floyd rose bridge and use with it without problems?

do you need photos of the guitar in question??

Re: Low profile floyd rose bridge question

You're just gonna use the neck? You can use whatever trem you want dude.

Re: Low profile floyd rose bridge question

The JT580lp and an OFR have the same spacing, the radius should be fine too. I have an OFR on my Kelly that came with a JT580, works fine.

Re: Low profile floyd rose bridge question

The question is why do this?

Wouldn't it be better to sell the whole guitar and get another one?

Or is it that you liked the neck that much?
Sounds like a lot of work otherwise...

Re: Low profile floyd rose bridge question

I feel like the question was also about whether you can buy a regular floyd with the string lock screws at the end instead of right under the saddle.

i had an LTD which i put an OFR into the cavity, it fit. my trem was low profile.
